  • How does your subscription service work?
    Subscriptions range from 3-20 prepaid meals each week. Every Friday morning, we email out a new menu with 5 meal selections and the ability to choose the amount of each meal. Here's an example of a past weekly menu... Meals are prepared fresh every Sunday and Monday, then delivered to your door or available for pickup on Monday afternoon/evening. Subscribers will receive a "Chef's choice" selection of meals unless they log in and customize their choices for the week. For example, if you have a 5-meal plan, you can choose... 1x of each meal 3x Tofu bowls + 2x Nicoise Salad 5x Chickpea patties ...or any other combination you like adding up to 5. Subscribers enjoy a discounted price per meal, autopay, and the option to use our reusable glass container program. Your subscription is automatically billed every week. You can change, pause, or cancel your subscription at any time for no additional charge.
  • Can I try meals before committing to a subscription every week?
    Yes! You can place a one-time weekly order for one or more meals.
  • Can I pause my meal delivery service if I'll be out of town?
    Absolutely. We're happy to pause your subscription or the duration of your travels. Please notify us by Thursday at 6pm for the following week by emailing thevibrantveg@gmail.com to pause your subscription.
  • How many portions is each meal?
    Each meal is approximately 3 cups of food. Some folks end up getting 2 meals out of one, depending on the dish and your appetite.
  • What dietary restrictions do you accommodate?
    Our whole meal program is vegan and gluten-free, which takes care of many allergens. We also take a lot of care to produce foods in a celiac-safe manner. We offer 2 meals per week that are labeled on the menu as low in sodium, oil and carbohydrates for those who are looking for heart healthy and/or diabetic meal options. We aim to stay under 140mg of sodium for our low sodium meal options.
  • Where do you deliver?
    We deliver within a 14 mile radius of our kitchen, which is located at 3226 Progress Rd in Madison, WI. We deliver to Madison, Sun Prairie, McFarland, Fitchburg, Verona, Middleton, and Waunakee.
  • How do I know what time you'll deliver my food?
    Deliveries happen between 2:00-6:30pm every Monday. You'll get email notifications on your food's ETA, so you'll always know when to expect us. If you'll be gone during your delivery time, we recommend placing a cooler outside with ice packs where we can place your food. If you are a weekly subscriber, your meals will already come in a cooler bag with an ice pack.
  • Where do you get the ingredients for your meals?
    Our preference is to always support local organic farms whenever possible. Vitruvian Farms is our main produce supplier, but we also use Garden To Be, Keewaydin Farms, and Little Man Maple Syrup. To continue providing variety in the winter months, we rely on other local purveyors for out of season produce and goods.
  • What kind of packaging will my meals come in?
    All meals come in compostable containers and paper bags to reduce plastic waste. If you're a weekly subscriber and have opted in to our reusable glass container program, your meals will come in a reusable cooler bag with glass containers and an ice pack.   • How do I care for my glass containers?
    Please wash the containers after use and put on the lids before placing them back in the bag (this helps prevent the glass from chipping). If you get your meals delivered, simply put the bag with the containers outside your door and we'll take them when we deliver your next order. If you pick up your orders, please return the bag and containers to the kitchen at 3226 Progress Rd, Madison, the following week.
